Introduction

"KURARAY POVAL FILM" is produced from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin. "KURARAY POVAL FILM" was commercialized at Kuraray Saijo Plant in 1962. Over the years, capacity expansion and efforts to develop new applications ensured that was able to satisfy a broad spectrum of demand. Many applications such as

	Packaging for shirts and knit garments
	Polarizing panels for liquid crystal display used in notebook PCs and word processors
	Mold during the thermosetting stage for fiber-reinforced plastics
	Sheeting for agricultural use

Thanks to the properties of its base material, PVA, also has water-soluble film grades. Owing to this distinctive feature, many new uses have been developed.

Mold Release Applications

As it separates cleanly from unsaturated polyesters, epoxies, and other thermoset resins and acrylate,KURARAY POVAL FILM has found use as a mold release film for the construction of tanks and automotive body parts.

Formaldehyde-absorbent

KURARAY POVAL FILM VF-F can be utilized not only as wrapping material for apparel and other fiber products, but also as a protective film for plywood paneling,and as a mold-release lubricant film.
